North Carolina Addiction & Offenders Counselor Association
The NCAOCA seeks to advance practice among counseling professionals working with clients with addiction and/or criminal justice involvement.
The division is modeled on the International Association of Addictions and Offenders Counselors and promotes research and practice to improve the lives of substance-affected or criminal justice-involved individuals and families.
Call for Officer Nominations
The 2020 North Carolina Counseling Association Annual Conference is approaching. That means it is time to think about electing a North Carolina Addictions and Offenders Counseling Association (NCAOCA) leadership team for 2020-21. So, the NCAOCA issues this call for nominations for division leadership positions to support the membership and plan for the 2021 Annual Conference.
Nominations for the positions of Vice-President, President-Elect, and Secretary/Treasurer will be accepted through 24 January 2020 and online elections will follow in early February. Then, election results will be announced during the NCAOCA Annual Meeting held during the NCCA conference. The service year for officers is July 2020 through June 2021. NCAOCA Professional members are eligible to hold office. To obtain a position description or ask a question about the division, please email Robert Cox.
