The North Carolina Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (NCACES), a division of NCCA, is sponsoring its spring webinar titled:

North Carolina Counselor Education Programs in 2021: Action and Responses to Social Justice Issues for Counselors in Training

Come hear a panel of experienced Counselor Educators from Counselor Education programs across North Carolina and a doctoral student/site supervisor share specific strategies and ways they address social justice and racial inequities in their programs and in the field.

The following areas will be discussed:

– Issues of equity and access of opportunity to all students and program strategies for ensuring this

– Strategies for promoting cultural competence, skill, and awareness inside and outside the classroom in counseling training programs

– Strategies for helping address social justice and racial inequities in the community including university/community partnerships will be shared which includes support for site supervisors
