Greetings NCCA Members!
We currently need to fill three section editor positions for the NCCA newsletter, Carolina Counselor. Section editor positions are open to any interested Masters- or Doctorate-level graduate student. The positions are voluntary.
(1) Division News: Any news related to division projects (present or future), conferences, workshops, etc. The editor for this section is responsible for contacting NCCA division leaders to request information about current events, activities, etc.
(2) Around Campus: Any news concerning student projects, professional organizations (such as CSI chapters), counseling program honors and certifications, etc. The editor for this section is responsible for reaching out to counseling programs across NC to request information about current events, activities, student projects, etc.
(3) Perspectives from the Field: Submissions could focus on ethical issues in counseling; counseling theory and/or practice; reflections on your work as a student, professional counselor, counselor supervisor, counselor educator, etc. The editor for this section is responsible for reviewing submissions to the section. The section editor will also collaborate with the editor and submission contributor on any necessary edits or revisions.
The Carolina Counselor is published three times a year: fall (October), winter (February), and spring/summer (June). If you are interested in holding any of these three positions, please email a brief statement of interest to Elizabeth Vincent, the newsletter editor, at firstname.lastname@example.org. Statements of interest should address why a student is interested in the position as well as any relevant experience.
The deadline to submit statements of interest is August 1st 2015.
Editor, Carolina Counselor
