The Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program at Appalachian State University in Boone, NC would like to invite you to attend our 25th annual Al Greene Addictions Institute offered this summer from June 7th to June 11th. This is a great opportunity for you or your students to learn more about addictions counseling.
Professor Al Greene began this institute back in 1990 to give students another opportunity to learn about addictions in a classroom setting, to allow students to hear from professionals in the addictions field, and to provide an opportunity to network with other addiction counseling field professionals. Over the years the institute has evolved to assist professionals, as well as students, on their continuing journey as counselors.
The Al Greene Addictions Institute qualifies for 30 hours worth of continuing education credits (CEUs), approved by the NBCC (with approval from the NCSAPPB in progress). Professionals have the option to attend the entire five day institute or just specific sessions for fewer CEUs.
To register or for more information on the hours and cost, please check our registration page. For information on the schedule, speakers and sessions we have planned, check our schedule page. For all other information, please visit our website at agai.appstate.edu.
Please feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions about this great learning opportunity.
We hope to see you in beautiful mountains of Boone, NC for the 2015 Al Greene Addictions Institute!
